Ukeme Awakesien Jeter is an immigrant, mechanical engineer, MBA graduate, lawyer, and the first black person to be elected mayor of Upper Arlington, Ohio. She dedicates her career to championing immigrant inclusive leadership, culminating in her historic mayoral role.
